Adult Ministry

Christ gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Ephesians 4:11-13

In adult ministry, our aim is to help every member of the congregation experience the love of God and mature in their relationship to Jesus- becoming more like Him each day. As we mature, the Holy Spirit empowers and send us out to make God's love known in our community. Each follower of Jesus uses their own unique giftedness to serve alongside others to bring glory and honor to God. Jesus called us his disciples. Jesus not only makes it possible for us to know the love of God, but He also teaches us how to live in that love. Adult Ministry offers opportunities to learn how to grow in our faith, use our gifts, build one another up, and help others know the love of God.

PEAK

PEAK is our weekly time of fellowship and learning for the whole family! Every Wednesday night begins with a dinner in Koopmans Hall at 5:30 (cost is $5 for adults, $4 for children 12 and under). Afterwards, kids will head off to their PEAK classes at 6:15 and we have our two adult classes this semester:

“Faithfulness, Discipleship, and Leadership:
Lessons from 1 & 2 Timothy” in Koopmans Hall

Writing to the Christian community in the city of Ephesus, Paul charged the followers of Christ to stand firm and to be faithful in the face of opposition. We hope you can join us for this PEAK Bible Study Class as we examine our understanding of discipleship and learn together how to be faithful to the gospel in the 21st century American culture.

“Parenting the Love & Logic Way” in the Chapel

This 7-week parenting course led by Pat Chambers is designed to give you practical skills that can be used immediately. These parenting techniques cover toddlers to high school students. It's not too late to attend the remaining classes:
Feb 7- Power struggles
Feb 21- Solving their own problems
Feb 28- Chores
March 6- Open questions and review
