Welcome to La Crescenta Presbyterian Church, a community church that opens its doors to people of all backgrounds who want to know Christ. We seek to be a "come as you are" church. That means we hope you'll join us for worship without having to worry about feeling out of place. You'll be greeted by a friendly face, and you can find a seat that's comfortable. We sing, we pray, and we have a time of teaching designed to inspire and encourage you in everyday language for everyday living.
You may worry about what to wear. Don't. You'll find folks who wear Hawaiian shirts and jeans, and folks who wear dresses and ties (although, usually not dresses and ties together). God invites us to celebrate his love: no uniform necessary.
In between our services, we continue our celebration time with two essential ingredients: coffee and cookies! We hope you'll join us and get to know some of our folks while you have a yummy treat.
We want to make it simple to get to LCPC and enjoyable when you arrive. Our campus is located just off the 210 freeway in La Crescenta, an easy drive from Burbank, Tujunga, Glendale, La Canada or Pasadena. We have a large parking lot adjacent to our facilities (an elevator to our sanctuary is available to anyone with mobility challenges). Our parking lot does fill up quickly, so come early! There is also street parking available and an overflow lot just to the east of our building.
If you were to ask people why they attend, they would probably mention several aspects of our family life:
Inspiring and faithful worship
Sermons for people who like to ask questions and are skeptical of easy answers
Worship through a variety of music styles
Relevant biblical teaching
Educational and fun Bible based programs for children and teens
Compassionate care for people in need
Our goal is to become the kind of church described in the Bible – one that walks with God and is infused with the joy of Jesus Christ.
We would love to have you join us in worship this weekend! Our 9:00 am Contemporary Service is led by our house praise band and has a more casual atmosphere. Our 11:00 am traditional service is a classic/blended style service with a full choir, a praise band, and beautiful hymns. We also offer an evening worship service once a month, on the 3rd Sunday at 5:00 pm.
We offer nursery and toddler care during both services. If you prefer to stay with your young ones on Sundays, the Parent/Child room is available in the balcony of the Sanctuary.
Sunday school is offered during both services for 3 years old - 6th grade. Our youth program, Abide Student Ministries, has a Sunday morning teen service during the 9:00 am service down in our Student Center. Children and youth start out in the Sanctuary, and then are dismissed during the service to go to their classes.
We’d love to have you visit us soon!
