The Bible is God’s Word to us today. it is true, holy and ultimate authority for effective Christian faith and living.
II Timothy 3:16-17
God created the heavens and the earth along with all their inhabitants. God created man and woman in the image of God.
Jesus Christ is God’s Son. He was born of the virgin Mary and was both fully God and fully human. Jesus’ life was an example of love and self-sacrifice and He is the Savior in whom we place our faith for salvation. Jesus died for our sins on the cross and was raised bodily from the dead. Jesus Christ will come again and establish the perfect and new reign of God.
The Holy Spirit is God with us. The Holy Spirit is the presence of God in our lives, preparing, equipping, and enabling us to live godly lives. The Holy Spirit helps us overcome our sinful humanity and gives us courage to name sin and not deviate from the will of God.
The Church through its worship, sevice, and giving equips, empowers, nurtures and disciplines women, men, girls, and boys through the teaching and preaching of the Gospel to be God’s lovingwitnesses, through word and deed, in the world.
Additionally, the family of God is the Church universal. It is a place for all people. The Church isGod’s presence on earth to come to the aid of those who suffer. Through its life as an institution and individual believers, the Church is God’s voice in society to confront injustice and the presence of evil on earth.
God’s redemptive plan for all creation is for it to be reconciled to God, through love and through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is experienced through repentance of sin and personal faith in Jesus Christ. That is God’s grace to us.
