Worship is a lifestyle of giving ourselves to God. Music is one of the many ways we do that, and we are mindful that each person has a very personal relationship with God. We seek to serve our congregation's various "worship voices" by offering distinct worship experiences in each of our services. We pray that in one or more you will find a place where you can experience the loving, healing, and encouraging presence of God.
The Cathedral Choir provides music for the Traditional Worship Service at 11:00 a.m. each Sunday, September through June. They also have additional services and concerts throughout the year. Rehearsals are on Wednesday at 7:30 pm in room 205. The Cathedral Choir is a rich program with a history of serving God in the Crescenta Valley. Please join us in an exciting year of music ministry to our Lord. Contact Gary Woodward at Gary@lcpc.net if you are interested in being a part of the Cathedral Choir.
Ephesians 5:19 "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord." The 5:19 Praise Team joins with the Cathedral Choir in leading worship at the 11:00 a.m. Traditional Service. The team is made up of singers and instrumentalists from our church and rehearses on Wednesday nights at 9:00 p.m. in room 205. Contact Gary Woodward at Gary@lcpc.net if you are interested in being a part of the 5:19 Praise Team
Our 9:00 a.m. service is led by our House Praise Band. Each week the band might be different, but usually we have guitars, drums, keyboards, bass guitar and singers. We strive to provide an opportunity to experience God's deep love in a way that connects with everyday life. Our music often sounds similar to the music you'd hear on the radio, but the message is profoundly different. Our band seeks to lead in worship not perform. So each week we invite you to be "in the band" by singing, clapping along, or even dancing. Contact Dan Blessinger at email@example.com if you are interested in being part of the Contemporary Praise Band.
Our children’s choir, or F.I.S.H choir, is for any children in elementary school who participate in our Wednesday night PEAK program, or our Sunday School F.I.S.H program. The children will periodically perform in the Sunday morning services, and in our Christmas concert. Contact Ashley Pollock at Ashley@lcpc.net for more details.
Cathedral Bells is our ensemble for adults who serve God through ringing. Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights 6:30-7:30 p.m. in room 203, September through June. The choir plays throughout the choir year for Sunday morning services and special services such as Christmas and Easter. No prior experience is needed to participate, but some music reading is desirable. Contact Gary Woodward at Gary@lcpc.net if you are interested in being a part of the Bell Choir.
The youth group has its own praise band for their Abide Sunday morning program. If you’re a teen who can play a musical instrument, talk to Josh or Kim about you can participate in the youth praise band.
